colby in soccer

ok, so i am way behind on posting all the pics from when i was down for so long. colby was in soccer from feb to may. i did not once get to go see him play, but daddy and both gresko grandparents were there every game they could be. he loved playing, and was actually really good. he is growing up so fast!!

our new baby

little miss rachel is about the sweetest baby in the world, snuggling and looking around all the time. but she does have the evil twin, the one that won't sleep during the night occasionally, and who sleeps all day. she is like any newborn, won't wake up enough to eat properly, and wants to eat every 45 min. if it were up to nathan, she would be eating 24 hours a day, but i try to wait at least 2 hours between feedings. 3 if she will let me. her umbilical cord fell off after only a week, i wonder if it was because of the 2 vessel thing. i have never had one come off that early. it is very nice, she has already taken a shower with daddy, and loved it. she can take a bath now, which we are eagerly awaiting. i have the same bathtub i have had with all the other kids, so soon there will be pics of all 4 of them in it. how fun. i took her to the doc on monday, and she has regained all the ounces she lost since birth, and is doing great. we love her to pieces and couldn't be happier. also, i don't know if you can tell from these pics, but these shorts she has on, we lovingly call the frilly butt shorts. we love them, and she is adorable in them!! and the robe was after her first sponge bath, which she thoroughly enjoyed. how cute is this girl??

yahoo!!

the long awaited day (or night) is finally here. i had my last doc appt today, and they finally agreed to induce me!! it is a bit ridiculous that we have to do this, but hey. i am on the list for first thing tomorrow morning, 7am to be exact. so if i don't end up going in sometime tonight, that is the plan. poor nate is going to get up at 3 for work, then come home and take me to the hospital at 630. doesn't that sound fun? although, i had my membranes stripped for the 3rd time, and it seems to be more effective so far. a lot more painful contractions, at 6 minutes apart for the last couple of hours. so we'll see. but most likely, this little darling will be born tomorrow, june 10th. sounds like a good date for a birthday, right? i have been waiting for so long, i am having a hard time believing this is actually going to happen. there is a light at the end of the tunnel!! hallelujah!! we'll get on here sometime in the next few days with the whole scoop, and pics of the little darling. wish us luck!! and i threw in a picture of just how huge i am, just for good measure. enjoy!

guess not!!

ok people, i am now 38 weeks and 3 days, and officially an unhappy camper. if i had thought even for one minute of all this that i would have to go full term, it might make this bearable. but since i have had one problem after another the whole time, i was sure early delivery was inevitable. i was even prepared for the nicu. well, that didn't happen. with every week, and now every day that goes by, i am more and more convinced that this baby has decided to take up permanent residency in my belly. it is very hard not getting super depressed, and i try really hard not to spend my days moping and whining. that is, until i get into bed, and can cry on nathan's shoulder. i seem to be doing that a lot these days. yesterday i had an ultrasound in the morning, and we learned that miss rachel has turned her head to be looking into my right side, instead of my back, where she is supposed to be. i didn't think much of it, just that it hurts my back more. well, when i had my doc appt, and they checked me, i had actually undilated!!! i didn't even know that was possible. when i was checked last week, i was told i was a tight 3, but a 3 nonetheless. here i was being told that i was between a 1-2, 2 being very generous. i almost died. i begged and pleaded for something to happen, that he would break my water, give me a pit drip, anything!! he refused, and said they're policy is not to induce before 39 weeks, and that is only because of the 2 vessel cord thing i have. otherwise, they wait till 41!!! so, needless to say, i am not a happy camper. he did strip the membranes again (how many times can you do that??) and i was contracting harder yesterday for a few hours, but, like always, it subsided. i am about at my wits end!! not sure how much longer i will be sane here!! i'll keep ya posted if anything EVER happens!!

hope it's today

well, this morning i had my doc appt that i vowed i would not have to go to. alas, i did. i am still contracting a ton, and things actually progressed. i was dilated to a 3 when they checked me, and i was hoping they would say ok, go to the hospital and we will put you on some pitocin. the doc at the hospital said he would not do that, because the risk of a c section would be higher. they are worried that i wouldn't progress fast enough, and they would have to take her. so they finally after 20 minutes of discussion, agreed to strip my membranes. that was done the day that rebekah and caleb were born, so we are crossing our fingers. all 3 babies have been born at 230am, so we are hoping it will be before that today!! the 28th is a good day, let's just hope this little baby agrees!! everyone say a prayer that this goes quickly and everyone is healthy at the end of all this!! we are all ready to have her here. colby comes in every morning to ask if i had the baby during the night. he doesn't understand that once i do, i won't be home!! silly child. well, here's to agonizing contractions!!!

nothing's happening!!

ok people, i am officially 36 weeks and able to have this baby. i stopped taking my meds last night, and am really hoping things start happening soon. i woke up afraid to get out of bed, thinking i would be in so much pain. other than the pressure of her head being so flipping low (she dropped on thursday) i am not in horrible pain from contractions. there have been a few times in the past few weeks when i was sure it was happening, but the drugs always stopped it. now, if i could just get it to start again, they won't stop it!! i know everyone is as anxious as i am to meet this little darling troublemaker!! it's funny, i've known this whole time of laying down that i was going to have another baby, and have been excited about it. but the other day, i just realized that means i will have 4 kids!! how funny is that? i am not the brightest pregnant lady in the world. i am more than ready to get this show on the road, so everyone cross your fingers for me that it starts soon. yay for epidurals!! they are the only way i would have had more than colby. :) well, that's all for now. i'll post when things start happening, or i'll have nathan do it once we're done. we'll see.
